Quizzes and Segmentation:
Did you know that segmentation is one of the most powerful things you can do with your contacts, not just for the results you will generate but also for your customers, to ensure they are getting messages related to their situation. One way to do this is to ‘quiz’ your database with questions, and based on their answers, add them into different segments (or apply tags to them based on answers, then when you reach out, you contact your contacts who only have a certain tag, or don’t have a certain tag)
Doing this will vastly increase your results both in terms of income producing as well as NPS (your customer’s net promoter score). Once you have come up with a few questions that will enable you to ‘group’ your contacts in different segments, here is how to handle the technical side of it:

You can tag each user based on how they reply, this allows you to segment your users based on their responses and use those segments to send custom messages. This is one of the most powerful retention strategies there is, as it allows you to tailor your message for their exact situation, rather than wasting their time with information that is not applicable to them or their situation.
This method is great for onboarding and retention, but also powerful for looking into your customer’s minds and seeing what they feel your service is lacking. In this post, I am going to set up a quiz for customers of SERPed.net to find out their thoughts on our ‘rank tracking’ section and see how they respond to proposed changes we are considering. This way, we know in advance if this change will be well received or a step in the wrong direction.
To do this, we will be using JotForm, which has a native integration with Platform.ly:
Step 1: Create your survey inside JotForm (or another provider or your automation platform supports)
Step 2: Integrate JotForm into Platformly with a simple addition of the API key. See this blog post here where we explain in-depth how to do it.
Step 3: Add the Survey and assign tags to the answers you want to. This will allow you to segment users based on their chosen replies. Here is an animated gif showing you how to apply tags to contacts based on their answers:
